Perched high on the cliff face, this is the small harbour light at Ribeira Brava, a town some 10 miles west of Funchal. I can find no convincing evidence for the type of construction of the tower but it looks as though it is probably concrete and it is set on what appears to be a stone foundation. The light shines through the rather odd looking "bay window" affair at the front of the tower. I wandered around here quite extensively but couldn't figure out how access to the tower was achieved, although I would guess that it is from the top of the cliff face rather than the bottom.
