It has proved almost impossible to obtain any useful information about this light.  None of my usual sources mention it, although one book has a photograph of it with no additional information.  What does appear to be the case is that some time fairly recently it has undergone significant extension.  The photograph I have seen shows a structure roughly equivalent in height to the bottom third of the skeletal tower shown in this photo.  The light is located at the end of the breakwater forming the western side of the entrance to Hartlepool docks and can be accessed from Middleton where parking is available close to the lifeboat station.  The construction of the tower makes a decent photograph difficult from any angle and this is not helped by the generally cluttered backgrounds.  This photograph was taken from the end of the Old Pier but photographs from the breakwater itself are likely to be hampered by having to face directly into the sun for a longish period either side of noon.

The photograph below shows the small light on the banjo pier at the entrance to the marina.  Again, I have been able to find out very little about this rather elegant little light but, if I do manage to unearth any significant details I will update this note at a later date.
