OK, how many other lighthouse sites give you BOGOF offers?  Filtvet definitely falls into the buy one get one free category.  The old light is the white painted, wooden house with the lantern on the roof dating from 1840, whilst its modern successor, from 1984, is the post light to the right of the house.  The relevant pieces of information above are annotated (1) for the old light and (2) for the new light.  When searching through my photographs for images of Norwegian lighthouses I was initially somewhat confused by this shot as the general aspect and layout were so similar to Steilene that I initially though that this photograph had been taken as we sailed up Oslofjord on our way into port.  In fact Filtvet lies on the west shore of the Fjord close to Tofte and much farther south than I had at first imagined.
