This small light, situated in the commercial port of Saint Petersburg, has completely evaded all my attempts at identification so I have included it here as an "unidentified light". In design terms it is almost identical to the light that marks the eastern side of the northern entrance to the Nevskiye Vorota, the sort of bypass canal that leads from the berths on the River Neva past the outer perimeter of the main docks, and then joins with the Morskoy Canal at the port entrance. Alex Trabas has a photograph of that light here and I believe the similarities are obvious. I believe that my chances of identifying this light using Internet sources are very limited, so I throw myself on the mercy of anyone reading this site - if you have any information please contact me using the link on the home page.
In the hope that it might assist with identification, I have included, below, the complete image from which the above photograph was cropped. The shot was taken from Queen Victoria, berthed at the Cruise Terminal. The Container Terminal is behind the ship in the foreground and the entrance to the port is out of shot in the right middle distance.
