This light is located at the extreme south east corner of the Kronshtadt naval base and, I freely admit, that I have no clear idea as to its purpose in life. It has all the appearance of a range light and, from it's lack of stature, it could be assumed that it was the front light of a pair. However, I can find no convincing evidence to indicate which rear light it is paired with. Also of interest is the fact that the main tower appears to support another, secondary, light but, again, I am unable to comment on what that is for.
