Apart from the colour scheme (which as I noted earlier, reflects the colour of the light), the East Pier Extension light is, in all respects, identical to its twin on the West Pier Extension. Access to the pier extension used to be possible via a short catwalk that connected it to the old East Pier but this has been removed making public access impossible. Nevertheless there are several good viewpoints around the town from which this light can be photographed, not lest from the end of the old East Pier itself.
